About the Project, Program & FAQ

Everything you need to know about the educational webinar series on the psychology of capsule clothing and mindful fashion consumption.

About the Project

Clothing occupies a unique place in human life. Unlike many other consumer goods, garments often carry emotional meaning. They may represent memories, aspirations, or identities people wish to express.

At the same time, excessive wardrobe size can create unexpected psychological pressure. When individuals face too many choices every morning, the process of selecting an outfit may produce decision fatigue, dissatisfaction, and the persistent feeling that "nothing feels right."

Recent research in fashion psychology and consumer behavior published between 2022 and 2026 demonstrates several patterns:

  • Wardrobe overload increases decision fatigue and emotional stress
  • Impulsive purchases often function as short-term emotional regulation
  • Social media exposure intensifies the perceived need for constant novelty
  • Mindful consumption strategies can reduce anxiety and improve satisfaction

The capsule wardrobe approach attempts to simplify clothing decisions by limiting the number of items while maximizing their versatility. Yet when misunderstood, it can also create new forms of perfectionism or pressure to achieve an "ideal wardrobe."

This webinar series does not attempt to create a perfect wardrobe formula or encourage radical minimalism. Instead, the goal is to explore why clothing consumption becomes emotionally complicated, how attachment to garments forms, and what psychological approaches allow individuals to develop a wardrobe that supports personal comfort and authenticity.

The project is strictly educational and does not promote products, services, or commercial solutions.

This project does not promote any clothing brands, capsule wardrobe services, styling courses, sustainable fashion stores, or commercial applications.

The webinar is provided for educational purposes only. The invited expert participates as a guest contributor.
